Cyber Security Conference Belgium 2020

Our digital society brings with it a lot of opportunities but also many vulnerabilities and threats. Every day you hear about digital attacks. The threat is getting more and more complex and the profile and motivations of cyber criminals and attackers differ. Cybercrime is about earning money, spying, disrupting economies and whole countries, like hybrid threat during the elections by example, attacks sponsored by states against critical infrastructures, and so on. The impact of cybercrime on businesses is enormous as well financial as for business continuity. Think for example about damage to investor perceptions after breaches, loss of sensitive customer data which can result not only in damaged brand identity, but it also can result in fines and penalties. Experts in the field of digital security must therefore be up to date on the latest insights on how to Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover in the context of managing cybersecurity-related risk.

Sharing Knowledge and Connecting People are important success factors in order to adequately anticipate and respond to cybercrime. For example, through international agreements and knowledge development in the field of cyber security. After all, safe internet and IT environments no longer have a supported function, but are now a core value for every organisation. Therefore, we organise the Cyber Security Summit 2019, where ICT & Cyber Professionals get together to learn from each other’s experience.

So we warmly invite you to join our Summit in Square (next to Brussels-central) and enjoy the keynotes, solution provider exposes and ‘limited audience only’ breakouts.

We decided on 3 tracks during the Cyber Security Summit 2019.

1. The Human Factor

Non-IT personnel are often being the weakest link in cyber-attacks.The most common human mistakes in cybersecurity are clicking on links, opening unknown attachments, and entering personal or confidential information into a seemingly friendly (and familiar) account. How can these mistakes be prevented, how is awareness created and how are knowledge and skills facilitated? These, and other topics can be discussed in this track.

2. Governance, Risk & Compliance

In this track the audience will be provided with the knowledge and skills needed to support their organisations in Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance Management. A well thought-out plan for GRC helps proactively and systematically identify risks and enables the safety management function to achieve adequate and mature security with the desired levels of internal and external compliance.

3. Technology / Solution Trends

What are the latest trends on identifying, protecting against, detecting, responding to en recover from cyber-attacks? In this track you will learn all about the latest technologies and solutions.
