Amsterdam Security Expo (previously SSA)

The Amsterdam Security Expo (previously known as Safety and Security Amsterdam) takes place on the 31rd of October until the 2nd of November. It is the largest exhibition for the security and fire safety industry in the Benelux. This is the place where products and demands, solutions and the newest information from the security industry meet.

The increased security risks demand a change of focus and a change in the approach of the exhibition than the previous editions. During the first edition Amsterdam Security Expo the spotlight will be put on the new developments and innovations.

New segments

New, upcoming technology is creating a different approach to security. This is why the spotlights of Amsterdam Security Expo will shine on the newest innovations. The InnovationLAB is returning, and will be expanded with a start-up lane. The recent changes in the security branch will be addressed by the implementation of four new specials:

Cyber Security

Because IT is now inherently linked to Physical Security, Cybersecurity has become an essential part of every security system. The companies that are located in the Cyber Security Dome are specialized in the implementation of Cybersecurity in security systems.

Public Safety

Collaboration between private and public parties is essential for the creation of a safe community. By 2020, the majority of our information will be gathered through sensors from public and private parties. You’ll find everything on privacy and collaborating at the Public Safety Square.

Smart Buildings

Systems within buildings, such as security, climate control and lighting, are becoming more and more integrated through the use of new IT, IoT and sensor techniques. This creates so called ‘Smart Buildings’. The Smart Buildings Pavilion will let you have a taste of the future by providing you with an overview of the newest products, information and protocols in the field.

Fire Protection Area

The Fire Protection Area forms the center of the newest developments in the field of fire protection, detection and firefighting, in cooperation with the Dutch Firefighting department. Risk management will be the central
